They cancelled a run and refused refunds. Just took the money from my pocket and kept it, despite not doing anything to earn the money.

The Cooper River Bridge Run is a Charleston institution. I have been running the race for years. Not only does the run bring together the community, but it brings people from all over the world to our beautiful city. Everyone at the office has been helpful and friendly. What a great race and organization!

The Cooper River Bridge changing their date and not allowing people to defer their registration, is highly disappointing. So is the fact that when I emailed them, I only received an automatic reply and haven't heard anything back from an actual person. People don't run this race to do a 10k, they run it for the experience. Subbing in a virtual race if you can't make the new race date or find someone else to take your registration, is ridiculous. This race receives support and sponsors from all around the city, so, you would think during these unprecedented times, they would show a little flexibility. For this reason, it is hard to continue to support this race. It is a sad day to be a runner.

Registered to run this pre-COVID and the race was canceled and rescheduled multiple times. I was refused a refund. Completely unprofessional and clearly a money grab. I won't try to run this one in the future. Also was not able to transfer my registration to a future race date. Totally unacceptable.

A shambles in terms of organization and decision making this year. I'll never enter it again. Other races handled postponement and cancellation with dignity and offered runners real choices. These incompetent thieves chop and change their offerings and really just want your money.

Awoke at 5:45am to get in line for bus in downtown Charleston. Was in line at 6:15am. They had plenty of buses, but only loaded 3 buses at a time. They closed the bridge at 7am so we took the long way to get to the start and I was on the bus when the race started. Had to race to the start and no time for a much needed stop at a portapotty, Was able to get to the start just in time to join the back of my assigned corral.

The corrals are a joke no one in the corral was running at their seed time and many were walking. They have signs for walkers to stay to the right, but none did and no marshals to get walkers to the right. Many early bottlenecks meant I didn't reach my stride until mile 3. Another bottleneck on King St. near the finish caused my time to be off by more than 5 minutes.

Why they don't board many busses at once and allow busses to cross the bridge was an epic fail. This is a race that claims to have great organization, but if they can't get you to the start on time I would beg to differ,
